20 Gal Tall at 6 Months

Okay. I was of the opinion that Kalkwasser maintained your calcium levels and you always used two part solution to raise to alk and Ca levels. I never had Ph problems so far and my daily range is between 8.0-8.3 between lights on and off. Good luck with your tank.

it is also used for alk and calcium but i heard u have to dose it slowly??

Yes I have heard that it has to be dosed slowly. For me the amount thats being dosed is not large enough to cause a pH program. Thanks for your comments.

Thanks Rosseau. I have changed the lights in my refugium with a regular flouracent light from Lowes and I am able to grow some leathers that couldnt take the T5 lights. Will post some pictures soon.
akbuuur: I can totally understand that being a student myself. I have seen them as low as $35. So keep looking.

Thanks a lot Mel. I like the hammer a lot. I got the hammer, kenya tree and finger leather from a nearby reefer for 20$. The hammer had like 5 or 6 heads when I got it 5 months ago and last night I can at least count 12 heads with many splitting. I think I will have to frag it very soon because its getting too big for that spot.
Here are some more shots of some corals. They look nicer under actinics than full spectrum...may be I will post some more later.

Got this as 3 heads in october. Not its almost 5 heads.
