20 Gallon nano reef

Hey guys, I have had a 20 gallon nano reef for 5 months now and have decided to start a thread about it. I have a 10 gallon sump underneath the tank with a filter sock to catch small debris.

I dose the following chemicals:
-Seachem advantage magnesium
-Kent marine turbo calcium
-Kent marine essential elements
Just started:
-Elos omega
-Elos pro skimmer
-Elos svc

Thanks. I have 25 lbs of live rock in the display tank and about 10 lbs in the sump.

It is a type of sps food. You should still use oyster feast and other products but it is just more variety for the corals

my filter started leaking last night and well :hmm2: I lost about 8 gallons of water.

I don't know, I saw water everywhere when I got up and at first I thought that the tank was leaking but then I saw drips from the filter power cord which was a relief. I think it might have been the place where the pump connects to the plastic. Maybe i'll silicone it and hope it holds.

I am using a mag 5 at full blast. Since I don't have a skimmer, I like to keep as much water flowing through the sump as possible.

if I try to push my mag 3 at full blast, and my mp10 at 50% my sand gets kicked up. But I see that you have CC. I should of gone with the special grade stuff.

That is the main reason I bought the courser stuff but one of the problems that I have with it is algae gets in there and makes the bottom look very dirty

I rather have algae growing on my substrate, then having a sandstorm. My poor clowns & royal gramma need gill masks.
