i got a great deal on a mag 12...would that be too much flow...6 3/4 inchg outputs..... i also have a mag 3 for a return 2 3/4 inch outputs in the bottom front corners on a modded sqwd...i plan on running 1 inch pipe for the intake of the mag 12 to restrict some flow and 1 inch pipe for the output ....i plan on having mostly sps and some zoos......i dont want a sand storm in the tank...i know i could put some gate valves but will that ruin the pump and shorten its life..or run even hotter han it already does...any input would be highly appreciated......
