Sorry for Interrupt updating for so long time, in last year we got many problem on this pool:

1.The basement for this pool was flood by groundwater in last summer. There were much rain in Beijing in this two years so the level of the groundwater was raised rapidly and finally flood... so we need setup a pump in basement to make sure whole basement not to be flood completely and waitting the level of the groundwater become lower in autumn... Then we could do some waterproof work for the structures of the basement. For the safety reason the power of the basement was shutting down so there was no lighting except sunshine for the pool, the result is the color of the coral is not so good.

2.Hair algae boom. We do not know the reason but it is terrible that the hair algae was booming in this huge pool, but it was lucky that finally the hair algae has been controlled.

Although some corals were dead by these problem but the whole system has not crushed, and it become better and better in this year.

Welcome back! Corals seem to be growing nicely. Just need to get them to color up. Glad your friend stuck through the rough parts.

Now we do not feed anything for the fish in this pool to control nutrition, many fishs do well with this, but the Moorish idol could not survive :-(

We do water changes regularly, it is great for the healthy of any tank.

It was pleasantly surprised that two Barred Angelfish do well in this pool, although they are very shy but looks healthy and has been keeping in the pool about two years. The Banggai Cardinals in the pool are adapt well and they even begin reproduction in the pool, the second generation of the Banggai Cardinals(about 2-3 fish) has growth without any special care.

Thank you very much for updating this thread. I was wondering what had happened to it. Please feel free to show many more images and movies of this aquarium.

wow, outstanding, thanks for sharing

I am amazed you can keep those Angels with all those clams.

Did I understand you correctly that you are not feeding the fish?

Nothing looks better in a reef tank than the natural sunlight.
That was the first thing in the pictures that struck me.

Beautiful tank and I hope everything does well in the future.
I love it.
