naw, not picking on you! I had 250 lbs. from the guy I bought my tank from, also sitting in a Rubbermaid for months. Believe me, I know how it goes. I popped the rock in the display before I had even built my skimmer. I had 11 chromis in mine also...In fact my cycle took place before my skimmer was up and running. I borrowed a whole-house filter from my house system and ran that off my manifold as well as using filter socks and water changes.
Have you checked out the PLTA I just got? I posted it in my thread.

You may be right about the pillars the front one is going to be larger and as I said 200 or so lbs Inc and I'm not done yet. Also remember as I put corals on them it should make a big difference. I'm going to try and go for show size items so I don't have to wait for the growth and they will fill in the spaces.

I wonder if I do large weekly water changes, will that screw up my cycle and extend it?

I'm working on keeping the fish I have right now for the next couple of weeks then we will see what happens. I won't be adding any corals till I see the cycle done.
