One of the first tasks that the new leadership team of COMAS (all COMAS officers) addressed was whether to offer associate memberships. In the past we have had family memberships. For $25 your family is included in your membership. The only thing that this really amounted to is access to COMAS events such as behind the scenes.
Starting in 2007 we would like to offer an associate membership. For $10 your spouse (or sig other-sharing same address) can become a COMAS member. The associate membership has all the benefits of a full membership, such as Library Access, Equipment Access and Donor program access. Probably the main benefit is to those who come with their partners to meetings since an associate membership would give access to the monthly drawings for door prizes.
This in no way changes the Family membership but merely allows more access to some of the club resources to family members that regularly attend meetings. Remember tho, both members must share the same address.
Also....to make life easier for Stephanie, please take advantage of the paypla systme to pay your dues for 2007. We already have a great selection of door prizes which will only get bigger and better as the January meeting approaches.
