During our December 6th meeting, the club will be holding elections for board positions. We are really going to need some new people to step forward to help run the club. Below is a listing of the positions and a brief description as to their respective duties:
President - Runs the club meetings, makes sure everyone else is doing their job, and guides the club's direction.
VP - Assists and fills in for the President.
Treasurer - Maintains the club checking account and approves expenditures.
Secretary - Keeps a log of what happens at each meeting.
Membership Director - Maintains database of members and makes sure everyone's dues are up to date and passes that info along to both the Webmaster and Newsletter Editor.
Webmaster - Maintains the website, coordinates with the Membership Director to ensure current members have website access and also informs the Memerbship Director of any online membership registrations or renewals, and sends out an electronic version of the newsletter.
Newsletter Editor - Creates a newsletter to inform club members of upcoming events.
Raffle Coordinator - Solicits drygood donations to the club for the monthly raffles and sells the tickets at the meetings.
Special Events Coordinator - Organizes any road trips that the club members might take to regional events or places. Past events have included trips to public aquariums, carpools to frag swaps, etc.
I believe Adam Cesnales will be running for Treasurer. I will likely run for Special Events Coordinator. That leaves a number of open positions. If anyone has an specific questions about any position, feel free to ask!
