Well, last year it seemed to work out when we scheduled the meetings in advance... This way we didn't have to constantly search for a location... Last year we even had folks complaining they couldn't host a meeting sooner!!! :D

Any way we can sign up for hosting duties this year too???

Spoke with Matt, and the CR is willing to host our April Meeting... I started a February meeting thread already... Post if there is a month in particular you'd like to host... :)


Hosting is simple... Provide the house, the time, and a main course idea to work around, and we'll take care of the rest... :) You don't have to have a spectacular tank like Chris' or a hatchery like Matt... We've done meetings where we helped drill a tank... We can do one to help set up a system... Or whatever... So don't be shy... ;)
 
If you're not approved by March, we've got to do something about the ETRC bureaucracy... ;)
 
We'd like to host a summertime meeting.

We talked about how the house is perfect for that sort of thing...giant back porch, level backyard, huge grill out back, yadda yadda...

I think Patrick said something about bringing a smoker as well.

If we hold it later in the summer, I should have a garden full of veggies as well. Earlier in the summer will be prime zucchini season, while later in the summer it's tomato time.

We cannot host May's meeting (out of town). June might be ok. July isn't the best. August looks the best for us, honestly. September would probably be ok too, though not as good as August.
 
I took Paul's comment on the other thread to be a firm commitment. I have already written it down.:)

March is at Paul's house unless he backs out or someone fights him for it and wins.

Ok, anyone want to volunteer for July??? It would be nice to have this decided before the frag swap... Aquatic Marine is available to host if we have no volunteers, but I hope that we do!!! :D
 
When are we supposed to host the meeting Randy? We could do July if need be. I'm fine with going to Aquatic Marine as well.
 
I think you said August or September, you just said Summerish... If you want we could do your house in July and do a "Tank setup" meeting... Or if you won't be ready by then, we can still wait till August...
 
I think we'd have to wait until September to do that (at least September).

I don't think he's going to be ready to fork it over until August or September. Plus, I am not 100% sure I'm going to be ready to set it up by then either. It's not like we couldn't have two meetings at our house anyways.
 
I'm going to leave July up for grabs until the Frag swap... So if someone wants it, grab it... :D

I'd be all for having it at AM, but since we are having the Frag Swap in June, I would prefer to have the meeting at a private location...

If we don't have the July meeting at AM we can have the August meeting there...

You know what...if anyone does October it should be us! That way we can have the Halloween decorations in full effect and MatthewJFishman can come have a looksie.
