2009 Working Schedule

I took a peak at a 2009 calendar I just got and it looks like the 4th Saturday of the month works out well. It does not fall on any holiday weekends. The potential dates are:

Jan. 24
Feb. 28
March 28
April 25
May 23
June 27
July 25
Aug. 22
Sept. 19
Oct. 24
Dec. 5

Anybody see any conflicts with these dates? Any suggestions for events/speakers/workshops/etc.? Jan. will likely be our annual coral propagation workshop. It is always a popular meeting and a good way to start off the year. And, October will probably be the annual MACNA review.

41 views and no suggestions?!?

Did we ever have anyone speak on aquarium photography? For some reason I am thinking there was one scheduled and cancelled or maybe I just missed it.

What about one meeting devoted to a virtual tank tour? Let everyone submit 3-4 powerpoint slides/pictures to their setup.
Workshops are good. Look at how many questions you see on RC about building sumps, working with acrylic, etc.
Product evaluations are the other big thing I struggle with in the hobby. Does something work well? When you cant see it in operation or compare something, it makes for a risky purchase.

Some names have come up in informal discussions such as Charles Delbeek, Jay Hemdal, and Joe Yaiullo. Any other suggestions?
