Finally got a chance to put together and update,

The plumbing is all done and did a fresh water leak test. The Dart pump sure puts out some flow even though I am running the return up and over the ceiling to the display tank and into the frag tank.

The light rack is made from 1" aluminum and is pretty rigid. There will be two 4' super actinic T5 bulbs and I'll be moving my 250w Reef Optic III over from the old tank. It can slide to the other side of the room with the help of some pocket door tracks and rollers to allow me full access to the top of the tank.

I'm now filling it up with RO/DI water and plan to cut over tanks this weekend. Wish me luck........

Tank move is complete. It was a very stressfull 3 hours last Sunday but everything is now getting used to their new home. The clean up of the old tank is still continuing, seems like more work than moving the stuff to the new tank.
Anyways here's some pics;

looks awsome! how are you finding the cleaning of the acrylic vs glass so far? I'm quite interested to find out.

Well the tank is only a week or so old so there is the start of a diatom bloom happening and a film on the sides. I'm just using an acrylic safe pad and the kent plastic scraper for now. James from Envision included a couple of cut pieces of I think nylon plastic squares for scrapping the tough stuff when it comes.

They work pretty good but I'm considering getting a Tiger Shark Acrylic magnet. I also got some micro fiber towels that I use to wipe down the sides.

So far so good.

I love the island look of the aquascape. I hope to have a nice big tank like this when I settle down and get out of pharmacy school

Thanks guys.
I've done a lot of lurking on the forums to come up with this setup. I still have a lot I want to do. Of course I'll try to keep the thread updated....

Anyways if you are interested in more pics, you can check out my flickr site Here

Just saw the actual setup today! Nick got to say the pictures don't do justice to all the work that you have put in to your tank and fish room! Great job!!!

Here is the fan from Nutone. It has built in humidity sensing and automatic fan control. All for $170 off ebay.

Here are the controls just under the grill.

ohh that controller is come with the fans for 170?? i wonder if i can use that controller to turn on my humidity at same time fans go on,,,,do you know? thanks

I got it off ebay from Northside built in housing products store.
Here is a link for one Link

The fan works very well. It turns on automatically with the humidity threshold setting and runs for whatever the time duration you set. It's also very quiet.

chrismhaase - I'm not sure what you mean by "a portfolio reply". I plan on getting more pics of the room when I can clean up some of the wiring.

Sweet Ride - Thanks Ian. Let me know if I can help with your setup when your ready. We'll also have to get the our RC cars out on the track sometime.
