2020 Aluminum Extrusion Profile

Too bad they don't make aluminum magnets

Actually, I don't know if I'd skin your tank. Having it open underneath is really awesome. I might brainstorm some other outside the box solution for finishing the structure. Have you considered an apparatus for a removable scaffold or step rail?

A friend of mine was able to use PC-7 Epoxy to get some magnets into the channel. Worked well for him when he was skinning his stand.

I used the 40mm size. I did use there free design consulting as well. Mine light rack it bolted thru the wall and the open end is suspended from the ceiling. it hold 3 Giesemann Aurora fixtures that at 48 inch long. It did sag before the cables were installed because of the weight.

Ahh ok, thats 1515-or 1.50" x 1.50" fractional 15 series square

If it sagged than it's was how the weight is distributed. Would love to see a picture of this setup Richard.

I'm not sure if these would fit inside the extrusion channels or if they would be strong enough but I was thinking about something like this. we use them in the installation of intrusion alarms on doors and windows that shouldn't drilled for the full size magnets

I was simply amazed with how well that structure did with the amount of unsupported cantilever you had.

Hello Mark.

I was able to do it with a 10 foot ladder. I do think it is way more secure as well. you will see it soon as I am hosting a poker night around this time next month.
