20k Double End Bulb

Anyone out there using a 20k bulb in their hqi metal halides? How do you like them and what are they? I'm currently using a 14k Phoenix bulb that looks pretty good, but I may be interested in a deeper blue. Always looking for something better for the tank. It's a curse.

its a deeper blue that gives your corals that color pop, but grow a little slower, you should ask aquconnect about what bulb he uses. thanks fish

id stick with the 14k personally, might do some actinic supplementation if u want more blue. i have 20s and growth is so slow its ridiculous. im going to 14s when i have money for bulbs

i have 20k. its ok but id prefer 14k

Aquaconnect and I use Helios 400 watt 20K. I used to have 250 watt pheonix bulbs and if I were still using 250 watt I would still be using them. Best of both worlds.

Thanks for all of your responses. This is kind of what I was thinking as well, but good to ask. I will probably supplement with some actinic lighting.
