210 lighting question

I am setting up a 210 (72x24x30) and the tank has the black cross members from front to back every 2 ft (2of them). If I order 2 xr30's will there be a shadow or should i order 3 of the xr 15's.

I'm no expert but I have 3 xr30s (first generation pros) over a 180 gallon tank (same general dimensions, just shorter). I think you'll want/need 3 xr30s, particularly if you're planning for an sps tank. Even without the cross-braces, I think you'd be pushing it trying to cover three feet per xr30 (although I've never used the wide angle lenses). With the XR15, having only one light 'puck' for two feet would concern me in terms of coverage and the potential for shadowing. Good luck. Again, I'm far from an expert.

I agree, for a mixed reef that size 3 XR30w G3 or G3 Pro would be best.
