210 Upgrade Build with LED Build

He's waiting for delivery, then he has to open it and then take Pic's. But first he has to ground it, encase it in some type of high tech stuff, and other mod's we will all try and duplicate. Im on the edge of my seat too, waiting for the curtain to rise.

Wait a personal nuclear power plant to power it!!!! Am I getting close?:spin2:

Wow you guys must have a gps tracker on the truck. It just arrived. RCR you were not that far off. What every heavily $$$ invested reefer needs. 20KW with a 200 amp Nexus Smart Switch with Load Shedding. Keeps the fish, the wife and the kids all smiling.

Will be on the pad and wired by Sunday. Final cut in by next week.

Ehh..... Not impressed...... LOL VERY NICE!

THE best investment I ever made was the whole house Kohler system I put in last year with static switch transfer.....

You using propane or LP to power it?

More stuff rolling in. Parts for the sump, skimmer, manifolds, filter cartridges. Sump shipped today, should be here next week. Picking up 200 pounds of Live Rock tonight from a reefer tanking down a tank. Things are starting to roll.

Propane, my house is on propane. I have a 700 gallon tank. The generator is rated at 20 for propane and 18 for natural gas.

What's a static switch? The nexus smart switch automatically handles the transfer and can load balance and shed loads on multiple large appliances (multiple AC's or pool stuff) when the generator is overloaded. Pretty cool computer interface for the house.

Gee, don't even get a break. Actually I am just about ready to drive north to get 200 pounds of LR from somebody tanking down a tank today. Going to be a stinky ride home.

Nothing like that smell though Lol.

Static Transfer Switch provides break-before-make switching between two independent AC power sources for uniterrupted power to sensitive electronic equipment. When used with redundant AC power sources, the switch permits maintenance without shutting down critical equipment. The switch utilizes solid-state switching devices close to the critical load, thus producing high levels of power availability and power system tolerance. It is available in 20-4,000 A models.

Threads like this make me depressed, I wish I had the means to build a new setup in this fashion. Awesome build, I love the generator imam try to save for one down the road.

Pictures of rock?/ update.

Got the rocks last night and started the cooking process. Picked up about 200 pounds of LR right out of the tank. Don't know what's on the rocks and I don't want to cross contaminate so in the grill they go. An hour or more at the highest heat setting should do the trick. Then a rinse with water.

One already cooked batch

Couple more of these buckets full also.

are you just trying to kill all the hitchhikers? Will this affect your cure process? Reason im asking is because im considering buying some dead liverock from some guy, to start my tank.

Curious, you actually grilled them instead of "cooking" them which actually has nothing to do with heat from what I read a while back. Or did you mean to heat them to kill off what was inside?

Hehe, where can I find that recipe? Everything in the rocks may be dead now, but it has likely not achieved the same results as "cooking" them in a dark container for a few months to rid the rock of the excess detritus, phosphates, etc. Wonder if anyone else concurs?

I concur. Dark bath and shake the rocks to get rid of as much crap as possible. Rinse and repeat. If you can toss a skimmer in the mix even better imo.
