somebody asked about a larger FTS and I just can't get one that shows all of the stuff.
Most of my stuff just tends to be small
But I did take a left and right shot and all you have to know is that the maze coral is somewhat the center. So here's left and right:
of course the photo synthetics are way easier. you can't see it in this shot but the purple ribbon and another purple gorgo actually have grown so much they stick out of the water.
I think you should have good luck with most photo synthetic ones. For non photo synthetic the yellow finger seems to be pretty resilient. I feed frozen cyclop-eeze and the yellow finger can easily catch those.
The pretty orange tree gorgo eats those as well but unfortunately is much more prone to become a victim to hydroids. I know mine has suffered greatly and I don't know if it will survive.
Mike and Terry, you can see the hydroids. They are the colonial kind. I've tried to combat them with a hydroid eating nudibranch as well as keyhole limpets. I've had some success but unfortunately never was able to completely wipe them out.
Some people say they will just run it's course but I did not find that to be true in my case. I am guessing they starve in other systems. But because I need to feed the non photosynthetic gorgos, the hydroids thrive as well. They seems to love live baby brine and frozen cyclopeez as much as the gorgos.
Here's a little video of the basket star getting dinner:

I got it either from ccritters or sealifeinc. One thing to remember about the baskets is that they only spread out at night so you have to get used to feeding it at night.
