215g Caribbean Inspired Reef

a little more progress... my feeding finally got far enough ahead of the biopellets for some macro to do okay in the tank :)

TANK OF THE MONTH!
Fantastic!

Thanks. The ric frags are already expanding and some are splitting. I can't wait to see what it will look like once the rics and zoas spread into real colonies. :)

nice tank! ya know one problem i have with DSB (i have a 3-6" sandbed on my 75) is the pockets of organic matter and gasses forming in the sand that you see and plus it is a lil annoying to have the sand visually in your face. i just thought of a trim that matches the tank wood and covers most or all of the sand. i think it would look cool. just throwing that out there.

Thanks. I actually like the sand bed -especially when one of the jawfish builds his den next to the glass. So cool to watch!

Sorry to be greedy, but do you have a larger format image of your FTS? I think your shadowbox idea is great and I'd like to get a better view of it.

Thx,

Dave.M

Dave I got more pics on the separate Shadowbox thread but PM me if you want a larger resolution one and I can email you one

Hi, amazing tank! You did a great job potraying caribbean life!

Do you have a list of where you purchased the livestock? Specificly gorgonias, corals, oysters, etc.

What do you have for flow in there? I know gorgonians need a lot of flow but was never sure just how much.

Thanks!
Looking at your location you are right at the source!
Most of my livestock has come either from
SeaLifeInc.net or CCritters.com
I have 4 MP40Vortechs

Thanks :)
Okay here's my new stuff - including some cool macro. The shoal grass seems to be iffy so I figured I'll take a pic before it disappears. lol
