Nice stuff.....who did you order tank from and who built the stand....I am in the process of beginning my research for the next setup thinking about doing a 300 gallon system.....200 display 100 fuge/sump or a 250 system.....anyway nice stuff

I order the tank and stand from All Sealife on Pembroke Rd.
They said this is the first one they have order trimed all the way around.

rjaquatics built the stand

Picked up 2 drain pipe kits over lunch and will get the bulkheads tonight. Once i size the plumbing i'll head to HD for the PVC and fittings. Luckily w/ the megaflow I can watertest w/o filling the entire tank.

Awesome tiger_eyed1...:)
Keep us posted with updates

Cool Video Manny

Got sidetracked with the wife's projects. :(

Ok, I got the tank plumbed. Used flextube to keep it simple. Ran it for 3 days and tested for leaks. No problems so I had John at allsealife bring me 250g of saltwater. I filled the display. 1/4th of the 75g fuge, and filled up 2- 35g rubermaid tubs.

Only had a slight cloudieness to the water. only for about a hour and it cleared right up.

Right now I have a mag18 for the primary return I plan to get two smaller pumps for redundency. I turned on the skimmer to help in gas exchange. Last night the skimmer was really bubling but all skim was clear water. So I'll have to read up some more to tune it. MR2-mag18.

I moved about 300lbs of cured live rock from tubs in the garage to the display on Saturday. Turns out that I have to much rock. I still have about 80lbs of medium and small rocks that I'll either put in the sump or sell.

I recived about 4lbs of rubble to seed the tank. it had lots of worms and pods so the tank is well on it's way with all the live rock, rubble, and sea water.

I'll install the lights 3 - 250w HQI & 96w PC and chiller this week.
Will post pictures soon

As promised, here are some pictures of my progress.

Added my rock from the bin in the garage. Live rock is cured, dead rock was soaked and cycled in mature tank water.

John brough me some rubble when he brought the rubble so it could seed the rock and sand. It had lots of worms and pods, co a big thanks there. I was able to transfer quite a few worms and pods via filter sheets from the QT rock tubs to the display.

Wilth the 200+ lbs of live rock and base rock, the sea water, and mature tank water. I may not have a hard cycle at all.

I'll attempt to install my lights after a trip to HD to find some waterproof connectors for inside the canapy. Only have the light and chiller to go and I can start moving over stock from the garage QT tanks.

Installed the 3 250w HGI's last night.
I used a 71" x 6" plywood strip. I screwed the revector/fixture to the plywood. The in one step I screwed the pywood into the top of the canapy. I can now take out all three at one time or unscrew one fixture at a time.
I'll power them up tonight so see how they look. I'm in between gutting my coralife fixture for the moon lights and 96W power compacts or getting some new one. Leanin twords gutting and reusing the existing :)

MR2 w/ mag18
A little concerned about the skimmer. I couldn't get the o-ring to sit in the grove perfectly so water/bubbles are seaping from the seams. I'll play with it some more tonight to see if I can trick it to stay put.The gate valve is all the way open and this thing is boiling bubbls up the entire riser and into the cup. It's all wet/clear, no real foam just bubbles.
Is there a break in time? It has been running wide open since friday and hasn't produced any gunk yet. I guess b/c I don't have a bioload yet it wouldn't. But I wasn't expecting for it to just be overflowing with bubbly water. Anyone have a clue about how long it'll take before this skimmer starts acting right?

Can you take a picture of how you have your skimmer set up?

The MR2 is sitting inside my 75g sump. There is about a inch of water over the black box. It is being fed with a mag18.

I just finished aquascaping so it stopped skimming. I'll check it in a few hours to see if it starts up the same thing. If so i'll try to reset the o-ring. If that doesn't work I'll try to raise the skimmer.

I looked on the MRC website and it says that the gate valve should be closed enough for the water level to be 2-4 inches above the black box. I'll try that ONCE it calms down.

did you wiggle or sink the rock into the sand? if not you could be asking for trouble if you get any sand bed creatures....
otherwise looking good
