Ok guys I need your help for planning my new tank. Tank will be 224g three sided starphire with eurobracing. External coast to coast overflow with three holes drilled. One hole dedicated to skimmer, other two to the sump. eight holes (two on each eurobrace) drilled on eurobrace for the return from closed loop. Four of these holes will be used and connected to a supersquirt, other four will be 'just in case'
Planning on laying bottom with black starboard.
Lighting will be 2x400w and a 250w in the middle, hanging pendants.
water flow produced by the four inlets from CL, two tunze streams and return from sump (which will be connected to seaswirl)
Sump will be 75g with refugium/frag portion
system to be controlled by aquatronica professional addition system.
Please help me with any suggestions for bulkhead size, placement of holes, pump size/brand, anything you can think of/critique. Thanks
Mike

I have a 210. I'm running two sequence reeflo Barracudas on closed loops. One runs each side of the tank, has one 2" intake and 3 1" outputs. If I were to do this again (and I probably will) I would have one reeflo hammerhead and have the two 2" intakes join and go to that pump. I would divert the six 1" outputs through a Oceans Motions 6 way. This would allow the corals to get the same flow they're getting now but it would be intermittent and more random.

I have 3x250W mogul 10KK bulbs in Lumenarc III minis and 2x6' VHO actinics.
I'm happy with the growth so far.

I would spend the money for a wide diameter skimmer from a well reputed company.

My tank is BB. With the flow I have I wouldn't be able to keep sand or CC if I wanted to. My only regret there is that my gobies/blennies would probably like it better if I did have a sand bed. The biggest pro is that the detritus does not settle in the display.... anywhere. It settles in the sump where it is easily vacuumed out with water changes.

Hopefully this helps in some capacity.
