220V 80W T5 Dimming Ballast

Now now....that is only germaine to the discussion if it is controlled by a profilux controller.

Items missing from picture:
1) booze
2) flat panel TV
3) Michael in a speedo (leopard print) :p

This is a speedo free zone!(especially leopard print)

That hot tub is fitted with Tunze streams, Simu L sticks, and a 5 fan Breeze unit to cool Michael's brow. All controlled by Profilux of course!

Look closer you will see the glass of merlot to the right of the Dude in Bolle's, and who said I am not wearing speedo's, :)

That bit of kit is "pimp my hot tub" for real, it rather cool! Well hot actually!

I am actually working with a hot tub company to use the ProfiLux as the master brain for theyre tubs, profiLux has many Facets :)

While I have the option to install a 220 breaker in the subpanel I just put in my fishroom, I'd love to know when we may see 110V versions of these ballasts > 54W. I'm in a similar situation with a 72" tank and no desire to stagger 48" bulbs.

Not a question we can answer only Sylvania can answer this, we do not make the ballasts or control the manufacturers choices of released variables, sorry.

Bummer. I was hoping that we'd see a higher wattage 110V ballast in the near future. If there's no indication that such a ballast will ever be released, then I might as well add a 220V circuit. I take it that the ballasts plug directly into the wall outlet and are just switched via the interface card/wiring?

OK, please excuse my ignorance here. I honestly haven't spent enough time with my manual yet, but does the EVG card connect through the L1-L4 ports? And then, the ballast plugs into the EVG card thereby enabling switching... now, does the EVG card get its power by plugging directly into the wall outlet? If you have a skematic that can be forwarded, that would be great.

Sorry for the thread hi-jack by the way!!

Hi

Yes on all counts, the EVG comes with a western plugged cable that goes into an assigned L port.

The ballasts wire to the EVG card

The EVG power comes from a wall socket

OK, that makes sense. Now, am I correct in that the EVG card can be wired for 220V or 110V? Or, is there a 220V specific EVG card?

Just passing time waiting for the boat to arrive in North America.

Upon retroflexion, I can see how my post may have been offensive. This was not my intention at all...just a bit of light humor based upon the banter on page 1. If anyone took this as offensive I apologize. I have attempted to removed the picture link but am unable to. So if Michael or a moderator would like to delete the post, please do. Again, not meant to offend. :(

Dont worry we will let you off this time :) Although I have to say your choice of under garment is much to be desired, and socks are to be worn on feet not used for other purposes.

Moving on now Nuf said :)
