They help a ton. How many adjustable feet are on the stand?
I want to mention that the adjustable feet made leveling the tank a breeze. On my old 7' Oceanic it was tough because the oak stand sat directly onto the floor, so shims were the only way to go and made it very difficult.Originally posted by Crazylikeafox

You've done an excellent job designing and planning. That is going to be a very elegant and classy installation. You definitely have my attention ...
JazzMan Do you or your family have any issues with the light from the canopy? I always wanted to do an open top, but am concerned about light blinding my kids or house guests. Any issues?
The skimmer's settling-in again after the move/new tank set-up, and I'm getting some better foam.Originally posted by savethereef
i have the same skimmer mine is a BM250 and the pumps are sometimes finaky. But as long as they start up and keep running them they are good. they pull in a lot of air. Its a good skimmer when you get used to it. ive had mine for close to a year now. i ran it for about a year in 6 inches of water and had a hard time tunning it sometimes. i increased the height to 8 inches and wow i got a better foam than i had before.

Beautiful summer6! Great build thread. I loved all the pics, thanks for posting them! If I could have my dream tank that's what it would be.
