240 Cube w/ pvc bottom

Tell you what, that tile surround was something else to put together! Something you can't see are 8 return nozzles off of a Barracuda closed loop buried in the rock work. The 3/4" eurobrace is one piece routed/chamfered. The overflow is made of the remaining 3/4" clear acrylic also routed/chamfered smooth with a giant 2" durso drain. A custom acrylic sump setup is in the works right now.

Hmmmm Im looking into t-5 and or VHO now for mine GOD I HATE trying to make up my mind :) I noticed no powerheards in the tank. the flow from the closed loops doing all the work? I really would love to have no powerheads in mine.
Back to the drawing board for some more drawing :)

there is a Vortech on the back wall and there will shortly be another... but the closed loop really just about does it... and once my new sump is on there I will have a larger pump on the sump and a separate fuge so I will be increasing flow there also.

I am just waiting on this.... planning on putting it over my Zoa/Softie tower....

Well as soon as I have the funding I will finish the LED spotlight! I will also get some 95-98% reflective aluminum for the reflector. Plus the reflector will be a little taller...I actually mapped out the reflective pattern and calculated the required height to maximize concentration based on the LEDs 120 degree emittance.

Couple new photos, Sad that tank is at my dads house who is a professional photographer and I keep having to update with iPhone pics...

Having a little bout of hair algae, water changes and actually adding a cleanup crew hopefully will resolve it, sump should be here soon... going to be 38x29x20 cant wait to get it installed!

Where did you order the PVC bottom from. Im still designing mine and looking around for the PVC bottom. Im getting closer though :)

a local plastics shop, just had to call around and ask if they had pvc sheet, it isnt as uncommon as I thought it would be.

So picked up the sump from trigger systems in Dallas great guy and great work. Jacob and I got back to Houston at about this time last night and got sump installed today. All and all glad to see the system finally running with all the components. Still a few little things to plumb in calcium reactor auto top off. But it's up and running.

Looking really good. My cube is getting put on hold for right now. Having some health issues and trying to get ready for building our house. Told my wife design it how you want it BUT I get a room downstairs for my guitars and musical gear and aquarium with fish room. This will be one room with a smaller dedicated fish room. Think I'll call it the dog house lol

Sorry to hear about your delay, I understand though this has been a long project and I am just now nearing completion.
