I just wanted to thank you for sharing the information on the sensaphone. I just got mine and I love it. It brings me peace when I'm at work : ) Did you ever come up with something to put the temp probe in? I have been thinking about making a acrylic tub to hang on the sump and maybe put sand in it to transfer heat to the probe. This way it will keep the probe from touching the water. Does this make sense?

Emster, what about something that transferred heat REALLY well, and didn't rust, like aluminum? Buy an aluminum rod, drill out a hole only as large as the temp probe, and slide the temp probe down inside.

Or will aluminum go to waste, as well?

What about finding a way to stick the probe to the outside of the tank, and transfer heat through the glass?

First of all, somehow I lost my subscription to this thread so I was unaware there were posts. Sorry about that.

drummereef & Zoos, Thank you very much.

TJ, You are welcome and thank you.

Emster, Congrats on the Sensaphone acquisition. I'm not to sure that sand will be a very good conductor of temp. I am currently just cleaning the probe regularly to prevent corossion but have been thinking of "dipping" it in a reef safe epoxy. Basically, encapsulating it in a thin, water resistant layer of epoxy. That, or doing the same with reef safe silicone but I think the more rigid epoxy would transfer temp better.

Joseph.

Joseph,

You have all the skills any reefer would want! Your tank is the most accomplished and spectacular tank i have ever seen.

However, i think it's time for you to upgrade so that all of us can enjoy your DIY skills.

Gabe

Are you kidding? Don't you dare touch that work of art!! :D Maybe a new reef in another part of the house would be OK...don't do an "iwan" on us and take down our inspiration, please.

Gabe & jnarowe, Thanks but there are no upgrades for me in the immediate future. I'm content with just watching things grow and the occasional pruning. ;)

invincible569, Thank you. It's really quite basic though. Just throw a ton of flow, light and calcium at those pretty sticks and they grow like mad in return. ;)

Joseph.

I don't what's nicer your tank or your skill with the camera....beautiful setup...love the way it just all comes together over time. Hope one day I can have my tank looking somewhat the same...

Amazing tank really

Hey Joseph that are just amazing and stunning shots, fish, corals and inverts, BTW what camera are you using for take that's pictures?.

Cheers!.

hEY Joseph, Let me say your setup is amazing. Im going to copy you, lol. I bought my house because it had an unfinished basement and ill be setting up my 220 in-wall. Your webpage is also great. Now...

What would you do differantly if you didnt have to hassle with the change?
What are your fishroom dimensions?

Thank you for you contribution to the hobby!
