240 setup

Well, as most of you know I didn't move. things didn't fall in place like i wanted them to. So im setting up a 240 gallon tank with a 65 gallon sump I will posts pics on progress. It has killed me to be out of my passion for this long. :fish1: so now it time to get serious about the hobby. does anyone have any 400watt mh ballast for sale electronic ? i will see everyone soon. :beer:

No. I got my JBJ to work so the water level only drops about 1/2 inch, so forgot about the Tunze.

Ok im going to have a run down of all the equipment that im using.
(3) Lumen Max elite reflectors going to run 400watt mh not sure if im going to to with electronic or magnetic? Geo Calcium reactor geo Kalc reactor MRC skimmer with gene x pump. mp40w with battery bak up. i have only one right now going to have a total of 2. 65 gallon sump.True temp titanium heater. Korallin s1502 nitrate reactor. That all i can think of right now but will post up dates soon

Ok, i have got my new sink plumed in now so i have water in the fish room still have to put all the reactors some where. skimmer is going reflectors installed. things are looking a lot better now. last thing i will do is paint the room.

Got my New RODI yesterday from bulk reef supply. waiting on the ends for my mh
ballasts. because when i bought my reflectors they have different ends so changing to that end.

ok tank cycled about a week ago. So i have some fish in there now I have my snowflake ele in there now that james was holding for me. Thanks james. I did get the lights on finally. never thought placement of 400 watt mh would be a problem lol i have 3 of them on there now.I will be adding pics in a day or so. Thanks for following this thread

Glad to hear the tank is going well. With the eel I was thinking you were going for a fish only tank, but with the 400w MHs I now question that thought. So what are you planning to add??

What's the trouble with the placement of the MH's? Avoiding hot spots and dim areas?
