240g anemone cube build thread...

They are not rare in the wild, by far one of the commonist anemones found in the ocean. Fwiw i think they are just far to large to collect most the time, it would be a one per box kind of thing and most lfs or wholesaler's don't want to pay the shipping for one box for just one thing.
No idea if they go to japan, but i know i have seen past threads over there and they are supposedly more common in the hobby.

they seem so rare to me, that i never imagine myself having one. it is a beutifulll nem you have there

If you look around, search google and such, for clowns and anemones, about 50% of the anemones pictured from the wild i find to be merten's.
Someday, when mine grows bigger, it will be manually split in half. But, its going to have to take up the whole tank first lol.

You're a brave, brave man...I'm a nervous wreck now that I have a pair of fish, I can't imagine how I'd be after propping a Mertensii...lol

No, i am waiting on some acrylic rods to arrive. So i can make my top shelf. Its ready besides that for the finished aquascaping. Give me a sec to snap a pic.

I Hate how it looks atm.

I think mixing anemone may not be a good idea. It is best to stick with one species of large anemone. H. magnifica is great especially if you find a male to go with your female.

Eh, coral is over rated :-p
No, i may do something here and there. We will see. I don't want to have to watch my calc and alk to closely, cause i'm a lazy bastard, so if i do it will be easier stuff, lps, shrooms, these new zoo's i got today.
