240g build with 112 gallon sump

The time has finally come... I've been waiting to post here for a while, I am new to the resting hobby, but what can I say? I LOVE IT! Started with a freshwater tank when I was growing up. Now I'm in the big leagues. We currently have a 20 gallon reef going. I hope to have the 33 gallon frag tank running soon. The bigger project is the 240. Technically 239 gallons...I purchased the tank about a year ago. It's 68L x 29W x 28H, 1/2 thick acrylic made by truvu. It's set up to be a peninsula with the overflow on the rear wall. Two 1 inch drains. I don't feel like these overflow drains are adequate for this large of a system. I've combed through countless forums on here and other sites and discovered that the 1 inch bulkhead will drain around the range of 600gph on a good day.

Any thoughts?

Moving right along. I'm planning on this being a FOWLR for a while. I would like to add corals and sand eventually, but with a potential move in the coming year or two to oregon, Im hesitant to start adding stuff that will be hard to break down and move. I have some equipment that I have already purchased for the tank.

Equipment list so far
3 radion pros with Reeflink
3 TUNZE TURBELLE STREAM 6105 CONTROLLABLE
TUNZE OSMOLATOR UNIVERSAL 3155 AUTO TOP OFF
BRS 4 STAGE VALUE WATER SAVER PLUS RO/DI SYSTEM - 150GPD

Still have some stuff to pick up
Suggestions on a protein skimmer, heaters, and a return pump would be appreciated.

The sump I have for this tank came with it as a package. Thank you Craigslist! It's a truvu aswell, in rough condition.. But hey-it's a sump! 112 gallons I believe 60L x 18W x 24H. My friend built the stand. He is picking it up tomorrow to finish the welding, installing some braces. So I'll have about a month to get the sump set up with baffles. The stand 41 inches tall.(I hate having to bend over and look in aquariums- I have enough problems already, I don't need any back problems) Steal stand 1.5 inch square tubing. I haven't figured out what to coat it in. I was thinking powder coat but wouldn't mind hearing what others have used. I'm not sure what to do about the sump. I'm thinking 3 compartments. First one being skimmed sith filter socks> return pump> then refuge. I'd like to use my lifeline and ask the audience for any and all advice.

I'm going to try and post some pictures from my phone. Please excuse any misspellings. I typed this on my iPhone :-p

the tank was in rough shape when I bought it. I found a guy in Sacramento to buff out all the scratches. He did an amazing job!

I would forget the refugium in the sump. It would be too small to do much good. I would suggest socks/skimmer &reactors (GAC, GFO)/return pump. If you really want a refugium I suggest you set it up separately so that your system is not dependent on it.

Thanks Dave.M
I've been looking into both GAC and GFO reactors. I wasn't sure if I should do a single or a dual reactor. I didn't realize my refugium would be too small. I actually thought the opposite haha. Not thinking it would be too big but thought it would be adequate. A refugium isn't a must in my sump. Just thought I would add one since I have some room.
