240g CUBE 48x48x24 3/4" Acrylic 300g+ Build in the Desert

Great looking Macro Rocks! I am going with minimilistic also with my rock work. It won't take much to get the look your looking for.

I agree on with less rock on that tank dimension. Good looking Macro rocks too. You have live rock you'll be setting the tank with?

Perfect! I've got about 100 pounds of my live rock I've had for 3 years and will never purchase another live rock because I know mine is pest free! Marco or the BRS Reef Saver are in my plans for an upgrade.

Well did some aquascaping with the marco rocks, also used the E-Marco mortar, still need to add about 80 lbs or sand...

Im going with a minimalistic look, thats 100 lbs of Key Largo Marco rocks

looks good

THX, pictures just dont do it justice on how well it looks, Ive aquascaped a lot of tanks before and was never happy, kept changing it several times before the tank even finished with the cycle, now with the key Largo rock Im pleased with the first try and will probably leave it like that.

The stand is very nice, made your tank really stand out and match the wood floor too.
What type of wood is it? Did you build it yourself?

Well the reef tank finished its cycle, bee around 8 weeks now. gonna start adding stuff slowly.

Got a new temporary lighting set up that Im liking really much, its a 400 coralvue lumenbright large reflector with a 400 coralvue ballast and 14k bulb. I might eventually change to a 250 radium set up with supplementation.

I also added a Vertex alpha 250 skimmer...

that a high water level for that skimmer isnt it.....
or was the sump turned off for the picture?

Yes its currently sitting in 13" of water level, Im getting an acrylic stand built to raise it 3" to give it a constant water level of 10"...

I have it breaking it right now and it seems to be working, that picture is only 4 hours after initial set up...

Awesome Job, what are the plans? mixed reef, sps

The plan is to have a simple mixed reef, with RBTAs, a lot of colorful softies and LPS, and just a few SPS that I could frag from my home reef tank.

And of course a nice fish load with several tangs, anthias and a pair of perculas.
