240g CUBE 48x48x24 3/4" Acrylic 300g+ Build in the Desert

Nice! Just curious, How much did you pay for that thing?
I want one! I'm still working with a 75 gall. but, I can only do so much. I want some Moorish Idols, but I would't put them in my 75 gall.

I bought it used including equipment, got a really nice deal for Tank, stand, cabinetry, sump, plumbing, wavemaker, 3 reeflo pumps, qtank...

Very nice you have had this tank up for some time now. If you have equipment like phos reactor and calcium could we get a peak? Thanks.

No calcium reactor or phos reactor, just skimmer, kalkwasser and carbon...

Here are a couple of pics from under the stand...

Very neat and well put together. The lights make your coral and RBA look amazing by the way. Thanks!

I wish I had that kind of space under my tanks!

You tank is maturing very nicely!

I was looking for examples of tunze 6105, as to not be confused when ordering.
That is when I stumbled upon a thread by "Precko", with a similar tank that inspired the purchase of this tank. Which inspired me to purchase a similar tank after finding this thread weeks ago. I hope my tank goes as well as it's examples.

NICE!!! hit me up also for suggestions

I purchased two AI vega and still have other equipment coming in. Will that be enough light for the cube. I also have two dimmable blueline i can use as well? thanks!

Kmu, I'll be going with 2 MP40's on the back wall with 4 Nova A4 leds(Chinese boxes). My one big question is what do you do for flow along back of tank?
I'm thinking that the undertow of the vortechs will help and I can branch of the return lines and angle them along the back
Come over check out my read so far, tank isn't built yet but will be started soon!

My cube is softie and LPS dominated, with barely few SPS, when I had 2 Sol Blues I had them about 16" from the water surface with good coverage and the power was set to around 90%.

I added later on 2 more SOL Blues for a total of 4, well I regretted getting the extra modules, I had to run them all 4 at 40 to 50% and I was still bleaching corals including the SPS I had.

Try first the 2 Vegas and upgrade from there if you dont like the coverage.

here is a pick with just 2 Sol Blues so you can see the coverage at around 16" from the water surface and 90% power

With the return lines and 2 MP40s on the back wall you will probably have very good flow on the tank, just set them in at the right height and power and the undertow will help a lot

That is good lighting at 16in. I received two sols instead of vegas so I will cancel the RMA. I don't see a "spotlight effect" like some complain about. These are great! Thanks

Any updated FTS's of this? This is a really cool size tank !!! I love the dimensions and am considering this for my next tank.
