I have already posted some pics of my new project, but I thought I would start a new official build thread.

Tank: 240g acrylic 96"x36"x16"h
Sump/fuge: 100 rubbermaid stock tank

List of equipment, some I already have some I am still deciding. If you have any other ideas on something, please let me know.

Lights: 3-250w mh, 4-4' vho
skimmer: Octopus TDNW-300
Return pump: Sequence Reeflo Dart
Calcium reactor: geo
Heaters: I don't know yet
Controller: I don't know yet. (need some help on this one)
Power heads: Tunze or vortech

These are some of the things I can think of for now.

Been working all week cleaning out the laundry room and moving elec. lines from the wall. Cut the hole cut today and plan on going to pick up some wood to start building the stand.

Here are the first set of pics, will post more when stand is done.

Thanks for looking and stay tuned.

Wow, the depth on this will look unreal.

Any reason you are going 250w with you MH? With only 16" you could get away with 150s...

I am going to use lumenarc III reflectors and have them a little higher to help cover the width. This tank came from a coral wholesaler and they had 400 mh over it.

Very nice. I love shallow tanks! I find them much nicer to aquascape myself. My current tank is 20" high and I have always wished it was more like 16-18" instead. Looks like a great start!

How about some pics of your current reef (in the backround) to keep us occupied?

Here you go.

Looking good!! Please keep us updated on your progress.

I am a BIG FAN of the inwall tanks. I always loved my tank when it was freestanding, but when we bought our new house, it only took me 6 days to start cutting!! I love the clean look, and being able to close off everything and enjoy just the tank.
That being said, I do miss being able to freely see multiple sides of the tank. So the conclusion I came up with, is that I need to build another tank, so that's what I'm doing. I guess I just have to have to large tanks from now on. See my red house.

Anyway, looks good and please keep us updated.

different livestock plans for the new one?

Very nice BTW.

The new one will be mainly sps and clams. Probaly one section for a zoa garden and a section for a ricordea garden.

I am beat, off to bed for me.

Here is a pic of what I got done today. Just have some center supports and fininsh the top.
