What is "marine grade flooring"?
it is carpet that they put in boats. We took out the old flooring because it was messed up and put that down hoping since they put it in boats it will hold up better, in case of spills (and knowing stupid... there is a good chance for a flood :D )

How long do you have to let the tank "cure" before you can fill it up?
It is either 3 weeks or 4 weeks from the date the tank was made. His tank is being made now and we don't get to pick it up till the end of the month, so by time he is ready to fill it, it will be ready.

Do you have any drawings of your plumbing layout?
It's all in my head... I'm not sure if it will work till we get the tank in place... The bad part is.. The return lines and the over flow lines are all on the back.. I'm not sure if they make a 2" elbow thread but that will make a difference which way we go as well.

-Mike
-Lonnie :D

Looking sharp! Wish I had room for sumps that big. Instead, I get to get custom made acrylic boxes that have to be exact to all squeeze in my stand. Looking forward to seeing the progress.

P.S. Can we please get less pics of lonnie

Okay here is the plumbing design that I have in my head. Not sure how everything works till he gets the tank in place, and we can rough plumb everything.

So I was right Mike is the photographer and you Lonnie are the Engineer, Builder, Designer and who knows what else :D

I guess Stupid has the hardest part though he is the President of Finance on this project.

Keep up the good work guys and Stupid don't forget your camera!

what kind of return pump will you be using how much flow?

The kind that is in the box and sitting in my living room. :D

The over flow will be on the back of the tank with a over flow box almost the width of the tank.

Mark,
What time do you get home? Stupid wants to come buy tomorrow and grab that while he is up your way.

Lonnie, look at that plan of yours. Their is 4 holes on the back of the tank :D NOT 3!! The 4th hole will be fed straight to the skimmer with a ball valve for control. And Baron I kick you in that favorite place!!:D I come up with the Ideas and Lonnie makes them work, except for the anything to do with the plumbing part. I just look @ him all cross eyed and go OK :D

He has seen that look many times before. :D

The tank will be great, I am enjoying watching it come to fruition day by day.

The overflow is somewhat a califlow. I tweeked it a bit. Most califlows have 1 or 2 holes on the back pane up at the top and a very small overflow box around them. I had mine built with 4 two inch holes drilled evenly across the back pane and the overflow box is 48" in length. The holes are I think 10" or 12" apart.

Mark if I can, I'd like to P/U the pump from you sometime on 4-11.

ok, just making sure I wasn't the sick, sneaky one that was looking too deep into what you were saying.

 Wrong, just plain ol' wrong!! Ya cut me deep there Jack, it's just hurts :sad1:   It was good though!!!!! Somethin tells me to walk carefully around the old and wise Jack, He'll hit cha when you least expect it. You bunch of sick-o's. :D
