Nice! The tank is looking great! You got quite the mixed reef going on there. Not to long until you slip some sps in there. Lol.
 
Cleaning and enjoying the flow. That is a good thing to see! Pretty funny doing barrel rolls.
 
So my euphyllia, on the whole, are not doing well. Could my lights being mounted 24 inches from the surface not be providing enough light?
 
I lowered my T5's, and 2 of my Radion's. I wasn't able to find the screws to 1 of my Radion's to attach cable to, so I may have to see if the hardware store has something that will work. It looks much brighter now.

I picked up this guy right at the start of the new year. The pet store said they saw it eat a silverside while it was there for the 2 weeks. It finally ate a small clam after I had it for about 3 weeks, but nothing since. I've been trying to feed it all the selection of seafood medley and then tried silversides with no further luck. I picked up a couple of emerald crabs to see if that would interest it, but it didn't. I'm at a loss as to what to get it so it doesn't die.
 
They can be fussy. You need to get really fresh seafood to feed it. Shrimp are well received, especially if they've been shelled. You can add a bit of Selcon to the shrimp to make sure they get full nutrition. I know some eels that would only eat once or twice a week. Others want to be fed once per day.

So I've got a positive ID of dinos in my system. I've never seen it before so it took a long time to realize what it was. It has covered all my rock and sand bed. Stirring up the sand removes it but it quickly comes back. After a lot of research on here, I have blacked out the tank and am planning on keeping it blacked out for 3 days. I have started dosing 1 ml H2O2/10 gallons and will do this daily. I have put in lime water and set up dosing it to raise the PH to 8.5. After the 3 day period, I'm going to do a 4 hour light period/day cutting out almost all my white light from my Radions, continue the raised PH, continue to dose H2O2, cut back my feedings and do no water changes. I'm not sure how my livestock, particularly the anemones, will fare but I don't feel I have much of a choice.

Searching threads on reefcentral.com is where I found the discussion about peroxide. Not everyone is in agreement on it but quite a few seem to think it works.
 
So I think I'm going to go with a Maxspect Gyre 150 to eliminate any dead spots in the system to hopefully help get rid of and prevent dinos in the future. The best location to mount them is near the top of the water though. Can the dry side magnet be mounted in an overflow?
 
So 72 hours later, the cover came off and no dinos! Corals look so-so. Anemones look fine. Fish are slowly starting to come out. My starry blenny and 3 anthias haven't appeared yet.

Update: One hour after the cover came off, dinos are back. This stuff is fast.
 
3 hours uncovered and this stuff is covering everything again. I upped my H2O2 to 3ml/10 gallons today to see if that helps.
 
The dinos are gone every morning, and slowly come back through the day. They are getting less and less each day though, so I'm guessing the peroxide is working. I had been changing the filter socks out daily as they were really brown each morning, but they are pretty clear now. I think I'm getting ahead of this!

On a down note, one of my Ecotech Radions stopped working. It initially turns on and the 3 buttons on the top of the unit are blue, then they start blinking red and the LED's go out. I took the light down and connected it to my computer and restarted it, set it back to factory settings and tried reprogramming it numerous times. I guess I'll have to give Ecotech a call.
