I got my 2nd Maxspect fixed and picked up a Vortech 40. My Vortech is dead silent for a few days, then starts to rattle. I have to re-adjust it.

Awesome tank buddy. Love a softie LPS tank!!!! You will like the vortech pumps. They rock, as do the Tunze ones. It's wild they cost so much more there.

Thank you! For whatever reason, I can't get my Vortech to be silent. It's a constant hum.

My corals have shown lots of growth which is great.

I've had a major setback with my fish unfortunately though. I bought a pair of dwarf angels(pygmy angels) from another reefer who had advised me that there was no disease in them or their tank. I hadn't put anything in my tank around when they were added. I didn't quarantine(my fault) the angels, and have lost around half my fish to date to what I think is ich. I still have my 4 clowns, 3 eels, 2 chromis, 2 anthias, 1 molly, high fin goby, pajama cardinal and my yellow tang. On top of that, the pygmy angels are attacking my breeding clown pair to the point of a lot of torn fins and scraped sides to all 4 of the fish. I've tried fishing them out, using fish traps and hunting them down at night with no luck. My remaining anthias aren't doing well either. Not sure how I'm getting the angels out, but they have to go.
