Some of the zoa's weren't open at picture time so there's some frags not included. Maybe in another update. Neon goby, firefish, Gipetto aka shrimp, 2 hermits, and some assorted snails. The top section is being reserved for SPS.

Plan to get another tunze 6025 for the left side. Thinking about a schuran or geo reactor. Planning a 5 gallon home depot bucket refugium inside the stand. I do bi-weekly 2.5 g water changes. I don't dose anything. Tunze skimmer and a filter bag with warner marine carbon and warner marine phosphar in it. The Hydorflo keeps falling off. I'm going to get some teflon tape to help it stay in the return. The return has a rio something on it instead of stock. It was the biggest I could fit back there.

Looks good! Lover the orange zoas. Why is your sand on only one half of the tank? Did something move it?

When the Hydorflow and reflected water from the 6025 meet it pushes all the sand away from that corner. I'm thinking about getting an aleviapora*sp or maybe a plate coral for the bottom right there. Something that can handle a good amount of flow while being on the bottom. The galaxia's tentacles can get anything on the rock above it so he can't go there. I've seen his sweepers literally a foot long when in good flow. I've had a couple bullying incidents.

Nanogurl: Well I fixed the hydor flow last night and everything seemed to perk up a little bit with the added random flow. But unfortunately my tank isn't as exciting as yours right now :( But I did get to watch my blasto's catch mysid and eat them for the first time, that was pretty cool. I should have taken a movie but I didn't want to stop watching to run up stairs for the camera. The new acro just wasn't looking so happy near the top so I lowered him to about middle of the tank in some good flow and the polyps have been out ever since and the tips are gaining some blue back. Being my first acro I'm watching the reactions to the coral closely to gain experiance for more later. I want to get some tongs like the one you feed your eels with so I can target feed some of my corals. Where did you pick them up??

I'd really like to get a 48x24x24. My LFS has a starfire one for one of their displays that they talk about selling frequently. The minute it does I want to snatch it up. But I'm a fairly young lad and my living situation is volatile which is why I broke down my 55 in favor of a smaller tank that I can move around with me and easy to handle for my room mates if I go away on business or vacation. One day though the 600g I have worked out in my head will come into play :)

The starfires are nice I've seen a few of them. The 120's are what I was looking at too. Small tanks are a lot of fun too though.. we had a 20g high and it was a lot of fun. But it was hard having a couple of tanks around with not a lot of room.

600g would be big enough for me to swim in comfortably!

This is only my second fish tank ever, I had the 55 for awhile but I really like the small tank because I can get all the nice equipment for it relatively cheap :) The only problem I'll have eventually is grow out room. But I figure when I get to that point I'll definately just upgrade and turn the 24g into a refugium :) Phishybusiness just got the Tunze Nano 6025's in stock so I just ordered another one today. That should put me at about 1800 gph or 75x's turn over in the tank. I always wondered if people were doing their turn over by tank volume or amount of water actually in the tank. The 24g only holds 17.5 gallons of water with all the rock and sand in there. I'll keep you in mind for glass cleaning :)
