250g SPS Tank from Beijing

The skimmer is BK 300 Internal Deluxes (it replaced BUBBLE-MAGUS 360 skimmer in last month)

I think i'll buy a BM 360, isn't good enough?? I don't try to compare them, just your opinion.

Thanks, Max.

BM 360 is very good in capability, I change to BK for two reason: one is the noise of BM 360 is bigger then BK; the other is the heat, the temperature of Beijing is so high in summer and I want to add more lighting power to the system(VHO and LED), so I try to lower the heat produced by pumps as low as possible, BM 360 need four pumps running and BK internal just need one pump.

Stunning. Really love your aquascaping. Everything looks perfect.

What a nice TOTM!

Cools colors, nice aquascaping and a track record of maintaining the corals.

Congrats to Welles from Ferrand ftp0001 @ youtube :)

Hi Welles,

Greetings from Shanghai. You are an inspiration to a new reefer like me.

I have problems getting the purple colours out of my SPS. They tend to turn brown. I am using 15K Metal Halides with 4xBlue Actinic and am wondering should I switch to 10K? Water parameters are fine I think with zero Phosphate and Nitrates. Using Rowas for Phosphate.

The other thing I am considering is whether I should add activated carbon into the Phosphate reactor to enhance filtration.

Mine is a 100% SPS tank with a few zoanthids. 11 fishes for a 150G tank.

Appreciate your views. Thanks

Thanks, guys :)

to chawming: Generally I prefer 10K for its higher PAR value, and higher PAR value will reduce zooxanthellae in the coral tissue and make the color looks better, more blue color lighting should be the next step for it (just for view).

Personally I think it is not necessary to put the activated carbon into a reactor. :)
