250g Zoanthid Dominated Canadian Reef System

Holy cow talk about growth batman, I added these directly after adding the radions so the only light they have recieved is the splash from my rear halide and the radions themselves:

And who said LED's couldn't grow coral?
Got these paly's on 11-03-2011

Not bad growth for just under 2 months in the system:

Boxing Day Snag

If you just heard a loud bang, that was my jaw hitting the floor. Amazing zoa garden!

p.s. Do you have this amazing tank sitting in the basement hiding?

First off, I'd like to say amazing tank! I'm a huge zoa nut and can't believe I hadn't seen this tank yet. I'm still going through the posts, but I wanted to ask what kind of clown is this? Obviously it's an ocellaris or percula, but I really like this particular morph with more black than orange and the black flecks in the orange. Was it a local purchase or did you buy it from a specific vendor?

Haha thank you! Yes it's hidden in the furnace room of my step dad's basement (Have made the area into a computer room)! Really a shame but we had no other location in the house that could accommodate it.

Always amazed at your tank, I'll have to stop by and see it some day. Those radians are looking good too.

Bring moar purple deaths plz :hmm4: (I have lotsa trades), I have bad luck with them...Your 300g almost up in action?

Gives me more confidence in the Radions;) Looking great!

Thanks Dustin! So far so good, these lights are top notch.

Thanks for the comment! That adult female was snagged off of a friend that was parting out, he said he purchased it as a regular clown from the LFS so not quite sure. Unfortunately she jumped a couple months back, she had to be at least 10 but she never did lay eggs.

I'm sorry to hear that! I'd also like to mention that the pictures of your tank finally broke me. I've been without a tank for over 3 years since I moved and kept telling myself I had to wait until I could afford a really nice tank, but now I'm setting up a small frag tank so I can cultivate zoas that can eventually go into a bigger tank. Seeing all of your zoas made me miss all the ones I had too much so thank you for that too!

Cnidarians are narcotics :hmm3:! Haha, welcome back to the dark side thanks for the shout out.

How bout the some good old fashion Red Planet growth shots?

Red Planet Colony 1:
10-08-2010

10-12-2011 (Large piece was broken off the rock so there's two colonies now):

Today:

Red Planet Colony 2:
10-09-2010

10-12-2011(Again frag to the right was accidentally snapped off)

The rock structure on the right side of the tank collapsed so a "small" reaquascape was warranted..."small" :fun2:. 6 hours of bristleworm stings later and I think I'm finally happy with the outcome.

I would call this photo binging:

UFO's!!!

Installed a mirror beside the tank, my HPS Retinadestroyer 5000 now has a reflector to increase retina burn while I work around the fish tank. These photo's are all early morning right as the mangrove grow light is turning on.

Amazing shots as always. And so kind of you to offer frags of every one of your zoas! I know you said you might not remember saying that and to just remind you so that's what I'm doing.

Awesome! I think I saved everyone of your pics! Quick question: did you ever take pics of your chaeto setup? If so, can you please post! Thanks!

Amazing tank, I love the variety, and the zoas are totally incredible. This is absolutely flawless.

P.S. the bamboo plant had me fooled at first lol.
