260 gallon tank/stand/canopy build

Well I started this about a month ago and I'm finally getting around to posting some pics of the progress. Hope you like it.

I picked up a 260 locally for a good price.

Started to build the stand

Finishing up the stand. We used birch to cover the stand ( my wife liked to grain)

Did a test fit of the sump(75 gallon)and the refugium(58 gallon)

im running an ASM G4.

Got some helpers to lift the tank into place.

Started to add some of the sand.

I had to make an internal overflow for the tank.

Got the plumbing in the tank done.

Finishing up the sump plumbing running a mag 18 for return.

Added all my sand and got some water running to check for leaks.

Then I started on the canopy .

Finished the lighting and transferred all the rock and fish from my temporary tank.

Picked up a few more pounds of rock to add.

dont mind the additives every where. Lol

It will be pretty open I may add about 50 lbs of rock then it should be good.
And it will be a reef tank.

I bought it per drilled with 5 holes, but the guy I got it from had a closed loop on it.

Nice! I wouldn't know what to do with all that room other than pack it full of coral.

I feel the same way! Going from a 72 gallon to this 260. It will be packed full of corals soon! I need to add a GFO reactor an a carbon reactor soon.
