yoboyjdizz - Didn't mean to suggest that you don't know how to keep tangs. Just from my personal experience with tangs such as the blue, you can go months (6 mo, year) then POW! something happens in your tank and the tang gets ick.

Ahh, I see you have a baby Imperator. You may see that when it becomes a Juv (mixed coloration) it may get a bit more aggresive then by adult size (8"+) with full adult coloration that it will exert it's full personality. A very beutiful fish, though.

So far I have an adult Imperator, Queen, Bellus, Black-spot and Regal Angels. They are all beutiful fish.

Keep the pics com'n.

Thanks for the reply.. Yeah the imp already flashes here and there but i knew going in that this is going to have to be the king/queen of the tank. Will be my biggest fish so the hopefully it will work out..

As far as tangs i didnt think you where hinting that. Your right that can happen and commonly does thats why i recomend a qt everyone. I learned the hard way my first go around..

Im hoping within the next two weeks i will have it full of water with live rock and sand and get this baby cyclin'.....

Quick question for you guys. Im in the process of finalizing my equipment round up and what do you guys suggest i used to clean my acrylic viewing pannels?

Novus #1. Get the #2 and #3 while you're at it, for scratches. Interstate Plastics and Tap Plastics have these.

They have the plastic kind at petco for cheap, then get a magfloat to keep it up, they have ones for acrylic to.You just have to look on the label for "made for acrylic".

From what I have heard they work well, just be careful you don't get any sand under it or it will scratch.

Canopy will be put back on once the live rock arrives.. 135 pounds of fiji and 100 pounds of marshall plus the 70lbs of base rock i have. Can't wait will take more pictures once they arrive!

Looking good! I have an envision 300gal sitting in my living room right now on furniture dollies. You were asking about what to use for cleaning the acrylic. James from Envision gave me two pieces of plastic (probably polyethylene) to use for scrapers and also suggested using Kent Marine's "aquamop", I know that marine depot sells them because I ordered one.

thanks i will have to look into those...

Plexi is versatile.

Most the fish are pacific tropicals. The Royal Gramma is a caribean fish. Nothing wrong with mixing I just like to know I'm doing it.

FYI - I like the Salifert kits. However, the phosphate kit isn't accurate enough for reef tanks. They should be below 0.03 ppm. The most sensitive Salifert phosphate test process goes from 0 to 0.015 to 0.05 with hardly detectable color differences between 0.015 and 0.05. In other words, you could be great or you could be in trouble, the kit won't tell you. I've heard the Rowa phosphate test kit is good but I haven't tried it yet.

Alright pictures will be up soon, all the rock is in and everything has settle.. I need to make more water and try to figure out how to quiet my water flow splashing down my into my sump.. I thought about closing the vavles a little but worried that they might not be able to keep up with the return and overflow the tank???

they'll stop making so much noise after they have been used for a little, shouldn't they.. once the algae and stuff grows inside them

I don't have my digital camera on me but i thought i update some pictures with my phone tank is a little cloudy sorry.. Want some advice on my rock setup do i need more?
