impur said:But just to humor you..... We get glass from silicon. Since they contain the same types of molecules they bond much more readily. This is why your glass tank is glued together with......you got it - SILICON. Acrylic does not contain the same kind of molecules. Glues for acrylic involve a chemical reaction that actually melts the acrylic together to form the bond. Now since silicon is not one of those glues, it cannot melt the acrylic to the glass or vice versa.
