I took a few pics, i'll get them up around lunch time. Frustration is beginning to set in with these damn MB. Last night i removed the hard plumped section of my return because it had a leak and i suspected it to be the main culprit in the MB dilema. I used PVC cement and coated the area real well. Let it dry. Hooked it back up. No more leaks but more MB than before. Hmmm now that is messed up. So i have a couple of options to contimplate.
1. I could use the GenX 2400 and replace the Mag9.5, going with all soft plumbing. This would lower the flow rate in my sump a bit and hopefully give the MB time to rise and pop. But it would also lower the flow in my tank, which i would like to keep high.
2. Replace the hard plumbed part with soft plumbing to see if there is a difference.
3. Ditch the SCWD, get an OM Squirt and hard plumb it all the way with either pump.
4. Remove all livestock and water, sell it, take my bat and smash it all!!!
Number 4 has crossed my mind several times during this project. But i just can't bring myself to do it at this point. The thing that gets me is there are VERY few MB in the last chamber of my sump, plus i have a sponge on the intake of the pump. I really don't think its sucking up any of the bubbles. It has to be coming from the return plumbing, either the SCWD or the locline returns. I might try adding an elbow to the line going over the tank and screw the loclines into the elbow. I guess the small area of locline that is not submerged could be sucking in air. Anyways, thats my rant for today
