2nd day of having clowns 2nd day waking up to one missing

Yesterday had a jumper who luckily landed in the back sump of my AIO. Order a diy screen from BRS and as a temporary measure put a window screen over tank.

Wake up today and the other clown decide to just swim through the overflow slat so now I need to solve that problem lol

Just the 2 of them in tank. The jumper is getting nipped a little. I think the one that went through grates just got to curious.

I don't think the nipping is too bad. They are both so small surprised the one is already getting territorial.

Screens are a must in my book. I also ty wrapped some screen to my overflows and formed it over top of the overflow. I got tired of getting wayward fish out of the overflow or sump.

What kind of rigging for overflow do you have? I have quite figure how or what I will attach. I don't want to try and net her again back there (PS its early but she has early lead on female)

Gutter guard from Lowe's, or plastic needlepoint canvas, your hobby store. Gutter guard is dark brown. Both cut with scissors.

I like needle point - maybe tie it to grate with fishing string?

Test water it was good so at least they are trying to escape poor water.

I always dreamed having rack of tanks with different clowns lol

Right now i only have mocha and regular ocy's. Working on skunks, thielli, and gold stripe maroons though

That's what I meant wasn't sure what to call it

My regular ocy they called a vivid unsure if that was just marketing. He is good looking though.

The forum is telling my perc misbar probably happen due to missing nutrients during development.

My clowns are juveniles but aren't really hanging together do I have a bonding problem coming?

Imo missbars occur due to bad feeding and/or water quality. I have it now where out of 300 clowns i get maybe 1 or 2 missbars.

Your clowns are new so just give them time, they will start hanging out and then figure out who the female will be.

Btw you had the name right (strains) but i have seen other say that but ment like designer clowns.
