We went to TBS and picked up the 2nd half of our package on Saturday. Needless to say we have been sitting and staring at the tank since then! :D So much to look at! It's amazing how much stuff is on the rock. We had trouble figuring out how to get all of the rock in there without covering too much up! I will post pics when I can borrow a digital camera.
I do have a couple of questions:
1. One of the sea cucumbers hasn't moved all day... We touched it gently and it seemed to move a bit, but how do you know if they are dying or dead?
2. We have a hitchhiker snail thingy. It is bright orange and has what seems to be a matching bright orange shell. It's about 1/2 inch or so long. Again I will post pics when I get them, but does anyone have any idea what it might be?
3. The Ph dropped from 8.2 to 7.8! What is the best way to increase it again?

So far these are the readings after adding the 2nd half:
Ammonia .5
Nitrites .5
Nitrates between 10 and 20
SG 1.023
Temp 80
ph 7.8 (although I just checked it again and it is closer to 8)

Thanks again TBS for the great rock!!

My PH dropped signifagantly after the second addtion as well. Got it two days ago. I began dosing Kalawasser. It is back up to 8.2.

My cucumbers (4) are hanging on the glass in both corners of the tank. So much for them helping in the sand. They do not move much at all.

All of my numbers look just like yours. Hoping tommorow I break through and see the AM begin to reduce.
