3 400 wat halids on a 125

i bought a 125 came with 2 400 watt hallids i want to add a third one i have a 1 third chiller would like to have spfs is this too much?my tank is 24 inches tall . lights are in a canipy abought 9 inches from the water line single ended mogle

i use 2 400w halides and i think its enough..

what about the 2 cross supports

don't have a halide buring right above a suport...it will make it brittle

place the halides so they will not be bocked by cross suport

You don't need 3 400w for a 125.

maybe 3 250s at most

or 2 400s (one on each end) and one 175 in center

I have three on my 125 but I have no cross braces.

i have 1 inch overflows what is the best pump to use and should i run my chiller from the pump to bolth returns

Your 1 400 w/ 2 175s on each end idea would work nicley.

honeslty though, if you haven't already bought the light.... 400 watt halides are unnecessary for a 125.

3 250s would be my choice....not as much heat and less risk of bleaching corals...

but that's just my crazy opinion.

God knows everyone in this hobby has crazy opinions...
