3 Compartments on 12G NC DX

What should I put in these three compartments, I currently have removed everything stock that was in there, and replaced the stock pump with a Maxi Jet 900, added a heater, and a temperature probe to the 3rd compartment, what should go in the 1st and 2nd???
I may put 1 small sponge in the 1st with a bag of chemipure, purigen, and seagel, and in the 2nd LR rubbler, that's just an idea...Any suggestions?

I have a couple of filter pads and a bag of Chemipure in the first chamber. I have converted the second chamber into a mini refugium. Live rock rubble and Cheato. I striped some of the vinal off the back and have a 20 watt under cabinet light from Home Depot mounted in a DIY wood frame running on a reverse cycle. This works great for me. Zero nitrates and it helps keep the Ph stable at night.

I've got the fission skimmer in #1
filter floss, heater and carbon in #2
and MJ 606 in #3
