3 fish in a 120. Call me crazy!

Hello! So I am planning my 120 build and I prefer to keep my tanks stocked very lightly. I already own a black misbar, and I would like to pair him up. That leaves one fish. But what kind?? I am stumped. Can anyone help me out??? I would love some ideas.

I personally love Tomini Tangs. they will eat just about anything including other tank mate's poo. Mine will eat anything and I almost consider him a part of my CUC

Tomini Tang? Never seen one before but it is gorgeous! Suitable for only a 48" wide tank though?? I love wrasses, but every one I've ever had was a clumsy maniac, although I loved my 6 line...he was my favorite fish, but hardly a centerpiece.

Tomini tangs are aome of the smallest of the tang/surgeonfish family. Liveaquaria has a 70 gallon as the minimum tank size.

I suggest breaking your plan and going with 5 fish. Add a bristletooth tang of some sort for keeping the rocks clean, a diamond goby to keep the sand clean, and a melanurus (or other halichoeres) wrasse for pest control.

are you set on just 3 fish? or can we up that to 4 because i would personally put a bristle tooth tang and a golden midas blenny they have such a great personality

Great suggestions guys. I will look into the different options, as these are fish that I haven't thought of! I'm not just set on 3, but I like a low stocked tank. But 4 or maybe (maybe) 5 sounds reasonable. Especially if one or two were sand or rock dwellers.

yellow wrasses are pretty good for pest control, and they stay small and they are cheap, in my opinion the two best centerpiece fish you could go with are either a powder blue tang, or red sea regal angel.

the regal is one of my personal favorites ( pictures dont really do it justice)

I had a yellow wrasse once, although every time I went to do any maintenance on the tank, he would plunge himself in the sand. Any anthias that would suit the tank? I remember loving the sunset anthias....but I've only seen them a few times in retail
