3 pyramid butterfly in 140g??

I cant think of any butterfly that gets to 10". LA states 7" max, which is more like 4-5" in the aquarium.

3 would certainly work in a 140g. IMO.

i have literally seen them 8" plus in my hand and measured. If you dive with them, 95% of them are 8-9". Just because LA says something doesn't mean its true :)

small ones are rare unless the drop is good, which it hasn't been in a a few years. 4" is the smallest you will usually. Smallest i have ever had was just over 3".

oh, and there are quite a few butterflies that can get rather large. i have a 8" raccoon butterfly, and have had many 8-9" aurigas with streamers

Sure in the wild they can get huge as with many fish... but how big do they get in the home aquarium if kept from 3-4"?

I have no idea. I dont think you could put a distinct number on it. Properly fed, i would say 7" maybe 8". you should be OK if they are 4"
