Then tell your girlfriend that the "poor little seahorses" need a tank 3x their height and will not be happy in a 12" tall tank (even shorter after you add sand). The 25 cube that is on sale on the forum for $100 is about the smallest tank I would suggest for 2 seahorses with a solana being an better option for a pair.
