30 gallon build

Soo about two weeks ago I posted looking for a set of LED's for a new tank I would be setting up, which would be my first from scratch build. I didnt end up with leds since well I got it up and running for what it would have cost me to buy a set of leds got this whole tank set up for around 300$.

I started on Thursday night by picking up the tank and cleaning it, it was filled and done by Friday night with time to have a beer and a smoke

Like a dick I had to put it on my leather, luckily no scratches

Let it soak overnight in vinegar

And the build begins Friday morning with a trip to home depot

Took a break to go pick up my lights and lunch

After a good meal it was time to get back to work, and do some test fittings

Got the moldings and sides on, time to clean up the rough edges and paint

I had my personal painter get to work while I started working on the hood :love2:

Let me tell you the hardest part of this build was the dam hood, and that I'm inpatient I hate watching paint dry

Time to bring it all together and fill it, I took 20 gallons out of my main tank to help bring down the cycle time.

Let there be light

After letting it run all night it was ready for rock saturday morning I was finally able to relax and watch it all come together

By the time sunday came around I couldn't help my self :spin3:

From sunday to today I decided to grab a big ball of algae out of my tank and leave it floating around and started cutting frags :dance: and moved some corals from my main tank that were hurting to be nursed back to health after i had the water tested and the frag tank tested exactly the same as the main tank so I couldn't help my self :rollface:

Well so far so good everything is open that I cut and the boys I moved in to heal are looking much better, whats next... Build a new main tank :fun5:
