300 DT w/ 150 gallon Sump +

Definetly subscribing to this one! Very impressive setup! I'd have to say your level of detail has to be in the top 0.01%! I'm very new to the hobby so I'm still trying to figure out how it will all come together... Looking forward to seeing the final product!

Thank You FsuNole,
Welcome to the hobby its a good one:)
Take your time and learn is the best advice I can give you, also you don't need all the stuff I am building to have a nice system. Over time with research like you are doing you will pick the items you want and the one's you don't. A lot of the things I build is just to tinker with and to try new things:)

Well as stated above I have made a change with some of my build after finding this product. Its a Flowwolf v2.0 1/6 (Ocean Motion type product) that will control 6 of my 12 returns. Here is the unboxing........ O it was designed and built in Spain:)

I have seen that one before. I don't remember where... I like the way it looks. The website has some nice demo videos of it too.

Yeah it will fit perfect for what I am doing with returns it has changed part of my color scheme...lol The company is really good also I would email some questions and heard back within a nice time frame. The company that sells them is in England but they were designed and built...O and shipped from Spain.

Ok here is when you know your a nut......
I can't handle standard white PVC BUT paint it white with Krylon and it looks nice:) If you don't see the difference you are going to be OK if you do.....peace be with you:) Krylon on left:hmm4:

I received my Barracuda pump yesterday that will be feeding my Flowwolf and a future for UV at a later date. The pump was hand assembled at Reeflo to assure its more quite than a standard Barracuda off assembly line. I was going to use my new Laguna Maxflo 4200gph but am glad I had the chance to pick this one up:)

I am with you on the look of PVC, depending on the length of time they have been sitting on shelves they can yellow. Drives me nuts.

Hi Aquatron,

I'm having issues with the spray paint becoming dull and not staying glassy - how many coats do you use? What's your procedure?

I've been trying to paint the whole setup (red for drain, blue for return). I've sanded and washed all of my fittings and pipe, then dry fit. I'll then glue them in place (with lots of unions), let it dry, tape off threads/handles, and spray paint the whole section the color I want. I've been doing 3-4 light coats (spray paint only, no uv sealer) with about 3-5 minutes wait between coats.

Hello msderganc:)
Check back a couple of pages I go over step by step of how I paint pvc. Make sure you are using Krylon Fusion and follow the steps and it will come out looking nice!

Here is one of the projects I am working on along with installing the Flowwolf. I am building two 36" x 4" AIR STONE skimmers one attached to each side of my DT. First I am doubling the acrylic area where the 2" bulkhead goes that feed each skimmer. I will explain all the details when I put them together:)
Construction Area showing lots of work to do....but getting closer:)

I like the black return on the inside of each end better then the black back just stopping were it meets the clear ends.

Hi aquatron, been a few months since I checked in. All is looking great! Just wanted to thank you for continuing to share in such great detail. Looking forward to details on the skimmers!

Thank you Muttley000:)
Each week I finish a little more so I am not that far away from leak test but have decided to wait until after the holidays to fire this BAD BOY up. I have many boxes of parts and equipment now to finish with so I can take my time with all the details.
I am excited about the skimmers built as part of the DT if they work as well as they do in my head it should be very cool.
Thanks again for stopping by and saying HI:)

Here is the final design of my 10 DT MO FLOW outlets its a 1" adjustable jet accelerator.

OK you had my attention since the beginning of this thread but now I am sitting at the edge of my seat wanting more info. ..lol

Man this is one amazing build. I love the attention to detail and creativity you display. I feel like I will need a tour guide just to help me understand all the inner workings of the system. A video on this would be great when it is all done and running.
