Thought I would post some pics of my build of the stand for my 300 Gallon tank. I am starting on the hood now, and am should have my sumps completed and the piping all done by this weekend if things go as planned.

Keep in mind, I am not a wood worker, so don't expect anything too special, but it is very sturdy, and looks decent. Overall, I am pretty happy with the end result. Pictures below.

Thanks man. Took me some time to figure out how I wanted it all, and what materials to use, but only took about 2 days to build. Every panel opens as a door, so really gives you access to every part of the underneath of the stand.

whats up dude the stand looks great with the tank on it. i think this is going to be one of the thread that will stay. great job

Wow I am definitely subscribing to this thread! Looks great very nicely done. I am looking forward to seeing this set up as it grows, keep us updated.

Thanks Everyone......Glad I can fool someone :). It wasn't too bad really. I am glad I decided to build it myself. It is the DIY forum here on RC that I spent a couple of days going through when I was trying to decide to build it or have it made, and it convinced me to go ahead and try.

I will post up some more pics as more things are getting done. I hope to get my sumps done this week, I am using two 50 gal tanks, and putting in my own Baffles and such. We will see how that turns out.

Just an update, thought I would share. Sumps are done, Plumbing is done, Skimmer is running, and the tanks is full. It is in the process of cycling, and I am working on the hood for it. I will get some more pictures of everything when I can.

I wanted to take a couple seconds to say thanks to:

Jason at Emperor's Ocean, supplying me with lots of essentials I needed for the tank, and taking the time to explain the details to me. He is really a top notch guy.

Rob at Southwest Reef for keeping a never ending supply of Bulkheads for people like me who crack them all, and of course for everything else he supplied me with. (But he saved my butt with having bulkheads in stock, couldn't thank him enough for that.)

And thanks to Kevin (reefey on here), Always coming over helping out, lending things to me for practicing different things, and just keeping me motivated to get the thing running.

Still have a ways to go, but I am happy to have the water running, and everything moving with NO leaks. LOL

Keep you guys posted.

Yeah, kinda.

I opened a window and vented the room a bit. Works well in the spring/summer, but when winter hits, it is bad back there. I think I am going to have to put exhaust fans in back there. I don't know yet.

Also, if I leave the sliding door open into the house, it isn't a problem, so that is what I have been doing. Just gets really muggy back there when everything is closed up.
