To All:
First I have to say how impressive some of these large tank projects are. I am contemplating moving up from my present 90 gallon reef. I wanted a larger tank with no top cross members and robust design for long life.
I was considering a "self build" 300 gallon (80X36x25) with no cross members on top using 0.75" saphire glass sides and welded metal box frame.
Does anyone have any information or suggestions on thickness of metal (steel) frame work along with powder coating to protect the steel from corrosion?
Along with the satisfaction of a DIY prject; I was looking to save money.
Thanks
