Hello every one. I hope all of you in the sunshine area are doing well!

In the past few months, I have seen that several of you have been looking for equipment for your tanks and some of you have been looking for bigger tanks. I have already bought pretty much every thing from many of you, so I am not in need of any more equipment. LOL

We have a very nice gentleman here in the Bay Area that for health reasons needs to sell his set up. He takes great care of his equipment and some of his items are even better than new.
He has a 1/3 horsepower chiller,
a EuroReef 12-1 skimmer with upgraded modifications/pump (I paid $650 for used one from one of you and it didn't come with the upgraded pump, but my brother loves it and is now his, this one is in like new condition),
an ASM G4x skimmer with upgraded pump/mods,
PFO ligt set up, etc, etc.

He would like to get rid of the whole thing and not have to deal with individual little things here and there, understandable, specially with his injury.

There as some people in this area that would like some of the things because you can understand that comming up with all that money to buy the whole thing at once is a little hard for some of us, so I figure that if some of you want some of the things and are serious, This could be done in a smooth way for him and we can all be happy. I thought that you could Paypal him the money and I could meet you some where in Sacramento to take the items to you like when we trade corals or things.

What I want is just a few corals and his purple tang, but I really understand that he would like to get rid of every thing at once, at least all the live stock at once, and you can not blame him for it. I would be buying all of that, but before doing it, I would need to make sure you are serious about what you would like. I can not be driving to the Sacramento area with animals in my truck and once I am there get the surprise that the person flaked out.

His Hydnophora colonies are absolutely mindblowing, his hammers, bubbles, zoos, mushrooms etc, etc, but I just don't have the space for them. I also don't need any live rock or the amazing large tangs. So every thing, besides what I want, would be up for grabs. But I would beg you to please be serious.

Many of you Know me, specially those who I have boght from and know that I put my money where I put my mouth. I think that is the best way to treat people. I think that by now, my line "send me your Paypal, so I can pay you for it" is well known.

You can post all you would like on this threat, but if you prefer to call me because you are a little shy, that is OK too. My number is 415-637-9276

Try to think fast and serious and let me know. This could be great for every one involved if you act fast and serious. If not, maybe just one person gets every thing and the rest of us get nothing. LOL
I would be happy to take any thing to you, except the tank, stand, canopy and sump, because I don't own a pick up or Uhaul truck.

As always, my best to all of you and thank you for all the great equipment and animals you have given me. God bless you!

Maynor - My brother-in-law and I would like the Tomini Tang. He's in the Bay Area. Please let me know if you'd like a PayPal payment to secure it.

Regards,

Karl

Darn. I am just about finished getting together all the equipment for a 300 gallon but am still a month or two away from actually getting it running...

I would like the giant hammer coral, the red and white candy cane, the blonde naso steamer, and 1 t-3 velocity pump. I would also like 1 or 2 100+ count paly rocks.
Thanks,
Paul

P.s. What would a fair deal on the chiller be??

Hello to every one!

I have already spoken with Paul and Karl and if it was possible to make this come true, I think it is fair to ask every one to be honorable and respectful with each other, so priority would be given as serious people come to the table.

As it stands:

Maynor---5 or 6 corals and purple tang
Karl----Tomini tang
Paul----Return pumps, Red and white candy cane (I don't remeber seeing one of those?), paly rocks, velocity pumps.
Will-----All fish remaining if price is fair.
Zgma--Blue tang (I don't remember seeing one?) and a Anthias.

That is as much as I know right now.

In terms of "fair price", there are some pieces of equipment and animals that I haven't looked up prices on and don't know about. What I would suggest is for those involved, do your homework by looking up prices and then clearly say, write or call in what you are willing to pay.
As a note of fairness and to give an example, I want the purple tang. Well, I know that around here they go for $30-$40 at a petshop and even amoung us. 2 were just sold by "reefer on a budget" for $30 each, I just got to the thread too late and there was a line for them. I didn't even bother to express my interest.
In my case, since I already know this purple tang is comming from a fellow reefer and has been in his tank for some time, I would paid over retail price ($50). To me, that makes sence, but to others, it may not.
What I am trying to say is that by you being realistic, well informed and reasonable, this project could be a great experiense for every one involved. If buying animal, the great advantage here is that is comming from someone's house. If buying equipment the advantage is that you can get a great deal and is comming from someone who takes great care of his equipment.

A quick note: This is not an auction. If you came to the table first and the price you offer for an item is reasonable, it is fair that you get to buy that item.
On the other hand, I know that evey one I have meet and know is honorable and reasonlable, but just for that one person who may not understand, don't think that just because you came to the table first, the item (s), is/are automatically yours even if you offer $5 for something you well know is worth $1,000 at the petshop, online or from a fellow reefer.

If I have missed any important points to insure this becomes a pleasurable experience for every one, please do shine in. Without placing any one on the spot light, many of you are so well-intended, warm-hearted and experienced with large projects, so by all means, please know your comments/imputs are very much welcomed and greatly appreciated.

After all of this said, don't forget that the longer we take to be concrete about what we want and how much we are willing to pay, the longer this may take to happen, or it may not happen at all if someone else is able to put up all the money and buy it at once.

Respectfully,

Maynor

Hi maynor, make sure you ask the people who have the first dib on the equipment and livestock. I believe hyacinth and me are interested on the livestock. I'm also interested on the er skimmer.

Hi maynor, I also wanted a bubble coral, a large frogspawn and or hammer if it is still available.
Thanks,
Paul

I am sorry, I am going a little nuts here, but I will try to do this as best as I possibly can. I am not home and I don't have the notebook where I have been trying to write every thing down, so as soon as I get home tomorrow I will try to organize things and make sense out of things.

For sure, there is live rock, bowl rock and live sand.

I'll get back to you tomorrow!

My best to all and thank you for all your patience.

Maynor
